From the TQS: (c) recognizing that the professional practice of a teacher is bound by standards of conduct expected of a caring, knowledgeable and reasonable adult entrusted with the custody, care or education of students.

As a student member of the ATA, I understand the professional standards expected of teachers. The ATA has offered professional development sessions that have been informative in illustrating the standards teachers must adhere to in their practice.
